this is a very scarce and not well known model of Winchester shotgun..This is the Model 1879 Winchester double barrell, side hammer shotgun. These guns were made in England by several different noted gunmakers and imported under Winchester name to compete with the Colt 1878 double barrel. There were I think 5 different grades with this C grade being a middle grade..There are a lot of shotgun collectors who have never heard of these, much less seen one..
